6th Annual Dreidel Dash 5k & Kids Races (Outdoors)

The 6th Annual TBE Dreidel Dash welcomes you to join us in celebrating the joy of Chanukah! Events include our signature 5k race and kids races. Stick around for our costume contest, food, fun, and activities for all ages! All proceeds benefit the TBE Youth Engagement Fund. This event is hosted by Temple Beth Elohim, and is open to all.
Schedule:
8:15 am: Registration and Bib Pickup
9:15 am: Pre-Race Assembly
9:30 am: Start of 5K Race for all runners/walkers
10:30 am: Awards Ceremony for 5k Race
10:45 am: Kiddie Dash and Junior Dash Kids Races, Award ceremony to follow kids races
11:15 am: Children’s Chanukah Storytime with author Melody Howard Ritt
11:30 am: Dreidel DRASH: Adult Learning for Chanukah
Dreidel Dash Race Swag: The first 300 registrants and volunteers will receive a custom knit hat!
Chanukah Costume Contest: Runners and non-runners come dressed in your most festive fun Chanukah attire! There will be an award given to the best solo AND the best group costume during the award ceremony.
Run/Walk Details: Dreidel Dash 5K (all ages): Chip timed 5K (3.1 mile) walk/run course through neighboring streets near TBE, with a few gentle hills. Turns will be marked by guides and signs, water stops provided.
Kiddie Dash (Ages 5 and under) & Junior Dash (Ages 6-10): TBE signature events for kids, with a course 1-2 laps around the TBE parking lot. All who finish win a prize and costumes are strongly encouraged!
Bib Pickup:
In advance: Friday, December 13 from 3-6pm
Race day: Sunday December 15 beginning at 8:15 am
Parking: Please arrive at TBE via Route 9, rather than via Walnut Street, and park on the neighborhood side streets. We hope to keep the Schofield School lot open for those who are less mobile. Carpooling encouraged!
Babysitting: Babysitting for children ages 0-10 will be provided at no charge during the 5K race!
Water Bottle Drive: Tikkun olam, our Jewish mission to repair our world, extends to all of our programming. Please bring reusable water bottles that will be donated to local food pantries.
